Scrapbook Star Kits

Ladies,

If you are looking for an amazing monthly kit you should check out Scrapbook Star - They are a LSS based in Montreal but ship all over and they have an online store. Check out their store kit page - Scrapbook Star Monthly Kits

I find that their kits have a lot to offer and each kit comes with a specialized stamp for you ladies that like to stamp. I’ve ordered a few kits since I started scrapping and find that for the price I really get my money’s worth from the Scrapbook Star Kit and have been recommending this kit to everyone.

Here’s a little sample of what the August Kit had to offer :

I used the retro style patterned paper - 7 Gypsies
I used the vintage buttons - 7 Gypsies
I also used for my title the gaffer tape - 7 Gypsies

Page Maps Blog Challenge

Seeing that my DH was burnt out from his day Air softing I had some time to scrap tonight *whoot*.
Searching through my favorite blogs I stumbled upon Becky’s Blog Challenge - on her Page Maps Blog.

Simple challenge - Follow the sketch…. post your take….. there’s a yummy prize at stake here…. wish me luck!

Here’s the sketch….

And here’s my take of the sketch….

New Month - Same amount of time to myself….

Welcome August - It’s a new month today, but I still haven’t been able to find time to scrap more than an hour a week….. While my daughter was sleeping this morning, and with house cleaning aside I sat down and scraped a page - FINALLY - It’s been over a month since I last sat down at my scrapping table to make a page.

I went to Micheal’s yesterday in Ottawa and bought some really cute paper so I kinda got a bit of inspiration to make something… *lol*

This page was submitted for Boutique Collimage’s - Défi recette de août 2009

You had to make a MONOCHROMATIC page using as little white/black as possible.
- You had to use ribbon, brads, bling, buttons & dew drops.
- You had to have at least 10 flowers.
- You had to have some doodling & Embossing.
- You had to use an acrylic shape.

I’ve Blogged - Finally….

For the first time in a long time…. I’ve been so busy.

Here is a page I did for last month’s Scrap - lift - a- chain on Art Du Scrapbooking.

And here is one I did for a Inspiration Challenge on Boutique Collimage’s Forum.

We had to use a specific color scheme which to be honest is not as easy as it sounds.

Another one for Boutique Collimage’s Challenges….

This time we had to take inspiration from a page posted, and the requirement was to use a masque -
DÉFIS INSPIRATION

Masque - Mask : It’s like a stencil, but for a scrapbooking page - You can use all types of mediums with your mask. Here’s mine - I used my cricut to cut out a silhouette of grass and I used my lime green chalk.

I hope these challenges that I’ve been doing help inspire some of you to go out and find the time to scrap a bit.

Boutique Collimage - Defi Sketch

I’ve signed up onto a local scrapbooking forum called Boutique Collimage. They are having some great challenges this month. One of which I’ve completed - It’s a sketch challenge.

Here’s my take on the Challenge….

DEFI MAI: DEFI CONTRAINTE

On the forum Art Du Scarpbooking there was a Mai challenge were you had to ONLY use patterned paper, no solid paper could be used. Here’s my take on the challenge.

There are a few more challenges that I would like to participate in this month…. I have to get my butt over to wal-mart to get more pictures printed *lol*

A Kick in the Butt!

That’s what I needed to get myself over to my craft table.

I finally sat down for the first time in over a month to scrap something other than wedding invitations (Which BTW I’m done making)… and I have a few months to go before I have to make the name cards and table cards so I figured I’d use my time wisely and scrap something.

This month on Bar a Idee’s the Monthly challenge is to scrap using Orange, Green & Blue with the acception that you can use Black and White as accents.

Here’s what I came up with :0)

I’m hoping this month will be a better scrapping month for me - There are a few Challenges on Art Du Scrapbooking that I’d like to participate in as well as the Scraplift Chain that I signed up for.

Holy Moly

I can’t believe how long it’s been since I blogged - come to think of it since I scrapped too.
I’m sorry for all those who have me on their blogroll list as a blog to visit that I haven’t been keeping my scrapping up to date - There has been so much going on lately.

I’ve been scrapping, but not the scrapping to make layouts - the scrapping to make WEDDING INVITATIONS - I’m getting married in the fall so I’ve decided to make my own invites. I don’t think there’s a huge difference in pricing because the cardstock does come out to be expensive, but I like that I’m able to make each one a bit different from the next. I won’t be posting pictures until they have been mailed out - so to keep the SURPRISE *wink*

Here’s a page I did for scraplift chain the other week.

I’m such a bad scrapper

I can’t believe it’s been almost a month since I’ve scrapped…. well I did scrap something quick this week, but aside from that I’ve been so busy working and taking care of Cynthia that I haven’t had the energy to sit down and scrap.

The good news is that after this weekend I should have some fresh pictures to work with *lol*
Cynthia starts her swimming classes again this weekend, AND…. we are celebrating her 1st Birthday 1 week early (Claude is working nights next weekend and I didn’t want him to miss his daughter eating cake).
